With the help of ChatGPT I created a press release for my book signing event Saturday June 17th in Denver.

Another Book Signing, Another Success at Barnes and Noble.

I want a shout-out the Barnes and Noble and Milinda in Denver; they really know how to create a great atmosphere for an author’s book signing. Confessionally, I am basically shy, and although I have given hundreds of lectures, I still get nervous. The people at B&N made me feel special and calmed my nerves. They seemed happy with the turnout and asked if I wanted to return later in the year. Of course, my answer was a resounding YES!

This was the first time I read out loud from my book to an audience. I kept looking up, thinking that maybe I should stop, but the audience was engaged, so I continued reading the entire chapter. It was a thrilling experience for me.

The event lasted 2 hours and flew by. The questions asked were very insightful. I felt it was a confessional since many questions asked were about “Did that really happen?”

What’s Next?

I will apply to see if the Tattered Cover in Denver will accept my book in July. I will also be hearing from the Jewish Book Council about the interest in my touring sites around the country to talk about my book. In August, I will know how many books I sold on Amazon, informing me whether to write book two. I periodically check reviews and ranking on Amazon, and it seems okay. I also plan to create more readings from the book, and if I make enough profit from the book will consider creating an Audio of the book.

I was surprised when the actor Armand Assante reached out to say hi ( I had posted a photo of him and me on Instagram) and was interested in my book Leaving Cleveland, so I sent him a copy. I still dream of it becoming a film:)

This is Armand, and about 30 years ago, at his home, I was hired to photograph him for a photo agency. He still looks great, and as I posted on Instagram, he was one of the most generous celebrities I could photograph. I sent him my book Leaving Cleveland, believing he would enjoy the story.

Thank you for reading my blog, and if you have any questions or comments, please reach out. Let me know if you are in a book club and want me to participate in your discussion of Leaving Cleveland.

Happy reading and have a great summer,

Steven
